Default Destin - Crystal Beach

Haven't been to the beach in a long time, thought I would try it today. Went for maybe 3 hours this afternoon at the old Crystal Beach Pier area. Used some frozen sand fleas and some old frozen shrimp - not even a bite. A school of something came through just before sunset, moving east to west, just outside the first sand bar.

Birds stayed after them the entire time, last I saw them they were heading toward the jetties. Only had a Pompano jig rigged up, threw at them, but no takers. Assume some type of bait fish, never did see any fish, didn't look like Bonito.

Raked all over, out to the first sandbar, not a sand flea in sight.

Try tomorrow! It will be warmer and the wind should be better.

I went yesterdayafternoon and didn't get anything, didn't see anything while I was there. The water wasn't that cold so I was able to wade up to my knees and cast out. It was a very pretty day nonetheless.

Maybe I should have waited until later in the day? I was there from like 1 until 3:30.
