What baits have they been hitting? because I usually use defrosted frozen shrimp.

While I have heard of catching them on hook and line, he said Ground Mullet. Now comes the real question... He said Ground Mullet AND Whiting. I have always heard that ground mullet was a local slang for whiting... So, I'm not sure what he's talking about there.

But I fish from St Joe to Gulfport MS.. I have noticed that about every 50 miles, the names of several fish change from one thing to another. haha

yea growing up locally.. I've always heard and called whiting ground mullet... I have caught black mullet with a brim buster before but it ain't the best way to do it lol

They catch mullet in freshwater all the time on rod and reel, most of them old timers sitting down on the dock at carpenters park are fishing for mullet
