Default Beach Sharkin 10/1

We fished the gulf near chicken bone last night and landed 2 black tips, one about 3ft and the other about 4 1/2ft. We also had another cut 135lb cable clean before we even got to the rod. We only fished about and hour and a half so we had a pretty decent night.

I started out with 135lb cable too, you will loose a lot of big fish with it. I recommend 270-480lb.

Isecond heavier cable. All my beach shark outfits are 275lb. 49 strand cable. If I'm paddling out baits with a kayak I'll put a 20 foot section of 200lb. mono ahead of it to protect my line from abrasion on the sharks skin or tail.

Yeah I have been wanting to add some heavy mono to our rigs I just havent got around to it. Last night was the first night we've had the actual leader cut, I think the next rigs I make up will be heavier!
