Default Afternoon on the beach

After reading all the other reports from this weekend, I might as well chime in. I've been trying all summer to catch my first flounder and I did it yesterday. Walking the West Beach inlet throwing a small jerkbait around. The first one I caught was legal and as I was walking him to the bucket he decided to flop out of my hand and escape!
A buddy showed up as I was leaving, he convinced me to stay. After catching a few bull minnows and rigging up I caught 3 more flounder, all unders. Regardless I finally caught my first flounder(s) and couldn't have had better weather.

Glad you stuck around with us. Still trying to get my head around this one.... I catch the bait and you catch the fish? Well, either that or Sophie would give each a name and not let us use them (bull minnows and finger mullet).

Btw, third try and you had the cast net down.

Great post. Sounds like Stoker got you squared away on the how to for your bait supply and you were good to go with the rod. This cold weather will get the bigger Flounder moving out the passes giving you a better shot at them.
