Default 7/28 PCB off Front Beach

After a successful scalloping trip at PSJ i decided to stay at a buddys house in PCB. After the rain subsided a bit and the clouds moved out we picked up the flea rake and the cast net and we went to feed the fish. First cast and we both picked up some nice blues, after that it was a slow and continous run of whiting and a surprise pomp. My buddy had a BIG hit and a short run before his leader broke, most likely a big red cruising along the beach front. 8 whiting and one nice pomp total for the day all were caught on fresh live sand fleas.

Glad to see there are still some Pompano out there. Nice looking Whiting. Did you catch all on sand fleas?

Tom the season starts july 1 and runs till september 25 i think this year. Myfwc.org is the place to check dates and we usually go to Port St Joe (St Josephs Bay) east of Panama City. The scallpoing grounds run all the way down to Pasco-Hernando County.
