Default 10-19-16 Fort Morgan

I caught one 14" & one 16 " this morning. I found a good trough with plenty of whiting in it this morning, but I released all of them. I may go back to the same spot tomorrow and keep another mess of whiting. I fried a mess of them yesterday and they were soooo.... gooood ! Came back to the campground and threw a couple of blind throws with the cast net. No mullet !

Well I went back this evening and caught my third pomp of the day. A buddy of mine went with me this evening and we tore the whiting up.

I really haven't found a spot this fall that has impressed me. All the public access spots look pretty featureless as far as cuts and troughs go. I've been bouncing from one spot to the next. For the pompano, I've been having to just sling the crap out of it , and get it out as far as I can. The whiting have been in fairly close. I keep hoping that the currents and wind will create some decent cuts. Good luck !

Thanks for the insight. DI has produced some decent whiting trips but there seems to be so many damn hardheads its almost not worth it. I did just discover fish bites though and my last trip wasnt too bad.
