Default What the heck are these?

I was admiring one of the photos of the drum I caught the other day and noticed something I hadn't seen before. They look like hitchhikers you would see on a shark or some other large predator. I guess a drum this size qualifies, but not anything I expected. Any detailed knowledge would be appreciated.

Sucker fish! They attach themselves to bigger fish and hitch a ride and clean them as they go. Everyone wins

Default First time I ever saw a pretty Drum.

Most big Drum are unwiped butt ugly. Yours is a pretty fish. Evidently the Remoras thought so too. I've never seen Remoras on Drum but hve seen one or two with big Redfish offshore. They are smart enough not to get close to big Gag Grouper.

I guess the baby remoras gotta make a living, too! The bigger ones like grab my mingo bait as it's going down. Lord forbid I lay a rod down with bait dangling while I help my wife unhook her fish!
