Want to catch a bonnethead...
I've been hearing a lot of reports of Bonnethead sharks at J's Beach being seen, and I'd love to catch one (or any shark for that matter) . Any suggestions on bait, tackle, rig? I've not really done any shark fishing and would love to try.

I always catch them on the flats on cocahoes.
The good thing about water is you can drink it at work. The good thing about vodka is it looks like water.

Those size sharks will be fun on a decent Spanish rod. Use a steel leader in the 40-60lbs range with a 6/0 circle hook. As far as bait goes you can use cut bait, mullet, strips/chunks of Bonita, anything oily. Don't want the bait to be to big, the Bonnet heads are about 3-4 foot so if it's a big mullet or lady fish cut it in half. Once you catch the shark take a picture and post! Are you going during the day or night, I'm curious if they are seeing them swim the banks during the day...
