Default Surf Grass???

When will the grass leave the beach? I'd really like to surf fish without that stuff.

You will get plenty of days without any grasses... you just have to figure out when they happen and get out there asap when you hear the grass is clean in an area. It could come right back!

Which grass are you talking? Sargassum, Eel Grass, or the slimy green crap?

June grass is the slimy stuff. It stays well into July and starts to disappear in August but can hit the beach in full force within an hour. This is kayak fishing season.

I've run across this several times...is that because the grass sticks to the beach or are you fishing inshore?

I need a kayak either way.

It's stays near shore and on the bottom. Once you get half mile out you should be clear and you won't catch any of it while trolling for kings
