Is it still to early for Pompano
Hey everyone. I just wanted to see if anyone else has had any luck with Pomps yet. Ive tried 3 times over the passed 2 weeks in Destin with no luck. Ive tried fresh peeled shrimp and fishbites.

I think the water is just a little too cool, still. I've been out a bunch with no luck on pomps. When I talk to other fisherman out there, they occasionally have caught a smaller pomp or maybe one keeper. That's in the Navarre area.

They're being caught in small numbers and size at the Gulf State Park Pier.
I heard of at least half a dozen or more shorts caught yesterday in the shallows while we were on the Octi fishing Convicts.
