Default Shark questions

So I've got some family coming down this weekend and I really want to get them on some sharks. I got a kayak to get baits out there but I've had limited success so far this year. My question is how far out are you taking these Baits and what a cut what are you using for Baits. I was able to get Frozen Bonita and I gotta run but wasn't able to get em in. Also I'm willing to buy any Stingray from someone that might have some lying around. Thanks for your help.

Oh and if it's any help I've been going over to fort pickens.
