Default Late afternoon vs morning

Since the last 2 mornings have been a washout in pensacola and I only have a few more days left to fish, I'm curious about late afternoon. Is it a waste of time to go say 5:30/6:00 to dark or is it about like the morning?

If I had to pick times id fish from 6-12 then 3 til dark. 12-3 is usually a slow time inshore wise for me.

Where are you fishing? I used to do well walking out before sun up and just before sundown at the point near Ft Pickens. We would take a thermos of coffee and breaksfast sandwiches and try to catch a tide change at the point. Mid morning didn't do as well. Maybe I just got lucky but my brother and I enjoyed the sunrise and set even if we just caught catfish.

I'm staying near Peg Leg Petes and it's just been too stormy(mainly lightning) yesterday and today while the afternoon looks more promising. I normally go by the dog park or the end with the picnic shelters but thinking about he national seashore area just for something new. I may try it this afternoon and see if anything happens. Probbly set up a few pomp rigs and throw a spoon while waiting.

Tide level and seabreeze are the biggest differences when fishing evenings.
I like to fish just outside the sandbar 'cuts' then ;-)
