Default Fall pomp fishing

How is surf fishing in the fall? Say late October and into November. Always do well during the spring pomp run but April/May is a long way off and I need another trip before winter sets in. I hear that they move in at some point and are fat.

You might not catch as many but they are usually much fatter. You can still get a limit.

If you are just crazy like me - you vacation in Pcola beach in August. I usually still manage to catch a few keepers.

Winter can be extremely good if the weather is mild for an extended period. I have seen great pompano fishing in December and the best I have ever seen was in January when it was too hot to deer hunt one year.
