Pretty much everything in the ocean is edible (that you are going to catch from the surf). Catfish, Sharks, Bluefish, Pompano, Whiting, Redfish and Black Drum would all be possibilities. If you catch a catfish, be cautious when removing the hook, if their fins stick you, you will be in a world of hurt, seriously, I'm talking about EXTREME pain. I don't even allow them on our boat, if you hook one we cut it off and let it have the hook.
