Default Big Lagoon St. Park

I'm coming down in mid August and staying at Big Lagoon St. Park, I'll be fishing the piers, but also want to try around the park. Maybe for reds or really anything. I'm also bringing some kayaks.

What advise can I get? Where to go? ?What to fish for? What to use?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I've got spinning rigs everywhere from ultra light- a Penn 8500, also a fly rod. I'll have the family and would like to get the wife and 12 y/o on some fish.

Thank You

There are some great grass flats in that area that you'll be able to get to by kayak. Just use google earth and look to the east of the park and straight across from the lagoon to find some spots. Topwater works well in the morning and evenings.
