Default Belt/Harness for sharking?

So got my new-to-me 12/0 setup to go with my 6/0's for some beach sharking and maybe now I can land something bigger than 4 or 5 ft.

Just wondering who uses a belt/harness & what kind you are using and maybe reviews of same.

I'm always budget minded, so I'd be interested in hearing about homemade setups as well. (I do have a cheap belt with a gimbal socket I bout a couple years ago from wally-world ... so thinking I might could use that gimbal socket to fabricate a homemade rig?)

I use the braid system. I am kind of needing to replace it, I've had it for a long time. Get something that connects to the reel, your arms will give out first..... I've had the buckles snap where the adjustable straps connect. They take a lot of pressure. You mention budget. You get what you pay for..... good luck!

I've been looking at those .... .found this one on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAID-Products-Stand-Up-Fighting-Harness-with-Belt-Lrge-fits-30-56-Inch-BIG-GAME-/141624411515?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&

Does your Braid harness go over the shoulders, around the lower back ... or does it drop down on the hips? I've heard you don't want the over the shoulder type harness.(I admittedly don't know a lot about these things .... wanting one for shark fishing from the beach. I boat fish too, but doubt I'll ever be taking my old Trophy 2302 out far enough out for Marlin or Tuna)

That's the one I have, but mine has another part that goes under the butt, that helps with the squatting motion. when you squat, the rod tip raises, then stand up, then, reel down... here is what mines like... http://www.meltontackle.com/products...TpORoCrZvw_wcB
