Default Anybody Target Rays?

Many years ago, I fished the Perdido area and everyone (including me) caught lots of rays as a bycatch. Since then, I have never caught another one... 20+ years.

Anyway, I thought I might try to target them this year. Anyone have any tips.
I'm usually using single and rarely double dropper rigs made from 10-40lb flouro.
Would a carolina style rig work better?

I figure that small ones can become shark bait and larger ones might make it to the grill...

Not sure how you would target rays. I would think targeting catfish, small shark, and redfish would do the trick. I would go with 1/0-6/0 hooks on a double drop rig and put some kind of cut bait or shrimp on it.
