Any noticable difference between mid June and mid August?
Well the family and I are going to be invading Perdido in August this year rather than or normal June trip and wondering if I need to do anything different for my terrible surf fishing. I have gotten better over the years and can randomly catch something besides catfish and love every minute of it. Brother in law will be with me this year and he has never been surf fishing before, so trying to get us any advantage we can before we get there. Of course in the evenings we will be fishing for the monster 2 foot sharks!
I assume the pomps are done running at that point, but are the reds, whiting, blues still around playing?

August can be a killer month in the surf for Flounder, reds of all sizes, Pompano and tons of sharks. I'll reply with more info when I get to my computer.
