Default Upper Bay Reds

Called my buddy Jimmy (in the pics), about 9am, and said, let's hit "you know where" for a couple of hours, it's warming up and I haven't been out for 2 weeks!

Hit the water about 11am, water temp, 55.8d, light wind; I told him if we find1 or 2 slots, call it a victory! Wrong tide, chilly, clouds keeping the sun from warming things up! Water was VERY clear!

2nd turn we make,I point at abank for him to concentrate on,and bam,Jimmy pops a slot fish right away!

We mosey on down to another area, andI see some swirls, psssst, My jigs in the water on the wrong side of the boat, "throw over there"; bam another slot.

We drift a little, there's a glare on the water;and I look down, whisper "OH $hit", throw over there, throw over there, there's about 10 reds sitting still, dead on the bottom, and we're drfiting right into.....swish....they were gone...what, There's 4 more right in front of me, all spooked leaving mud clouds for trails! :hoppingmad

Meanwhile I catch a couple ofshorts 10-13 inchesand Imumur some unpleasantries. We move to the next bank, I tell Jimmy; you start at that "Whoopty Do" in the grass and fish left, I'll fish right...bam...he catches another slot right whereI pointed!

He's laughing because I'm cussing him out, in fun of course!:nonono

Finally, I find a couple of slots, however, Jimmy apparantly only likes pictures of himself(just kidd'n), because the ones he took of me didn't turn out! :doh

We fished 2.5hrs; 9 reds, 6 slots, all around 22"-23", 3 shorts, and 1 flounder! Saw probably 30-40 reds on the day. They were sitting dead in the water and mostly ignoring baits.

2 were caught when we werewinding fast to move, guess they thought the bait would get away. All caught on jigs and plastics or gulps.

Turned out to be a great day!
