Default tuesday night reds

me and my buddy matt went down to navarre to visit some of my family thats in town. ended up doing some fishing and caught 3 reds (25,23,15) and a trout. plus a half dozen hardheads and several ladyfish. took the two legal reds and the trout back to the house and sauteed them up...man was it good redfish were caught on bull minnows and the trout was caught on a gulp shrimp

I keep a little 12' jon boat at my grandparents house in navarre along with a trolling motor and battery. we launched it and went a mile or so down the beach and then got out and waded. I do catch them pretty regular off of my grandparents dock though.



mark...damn was it good, lots of butter, some old bay, lemon pepper, garlic, and a little tobasco on mine made it out of this world

10-4 on the John boat! I went out last week and caught some nice specks ! But everone I fillet add worms in the meat . What is the deal with this?? I mean it really grosses me out!! What do you do about it?? Do you clean them out or chunk them??

this time of year when the water gets warmer most of the specks will have worms in them. If they're full of worms i'll chunk them up and get as many of the worms out as i can and then fry them. If theres just a few I flick them out with the tip of the fillet knife. They won't hurt you, just adds more protein to the meat, but i still get as many as i can out
