Default Too Much Fun!!

Well I took my new boat out 10 or 12 milesyesterday for the first time. It was calm but cold and I figured out that I need to learn how to find, and anchor on a spot when I do find it (need a bigger anchor.) Anyway, wind kicked up and we headed back to the pass. We pulled up on the beach between the two jetties and walked over to the south one with our lightrods. Spent therest of the day killing big sheepsheads and a few nice reds. About a couple of hours intoit, we looked over on the south side of the jetty and thousands of mullet had been chased in the corner and were jumping into the rocks and even up onto the sand. The kids grabbed landing nets and were scooping up 10 to 15 at a time. One kid started screaming and he had a jack crevallein the net. It took 2 or 3 of them to drag it up. I grabbed my little spincast, picked up one of the mullet from the beach and stuck him through the nose with the little 2/0 circle. Tossed it out there and bam! Got hit hard immediately. I spent the next 20 minutes or so,:blownaway with about15 people crowded around, fighting this thing on my little Cabelas 40 spincast and a 2 piece whuppin' stick. Luckily, I had put 15 pound Ande line on my light stuff 'cause I kept getting broke off last Saturday. Nice cooler full of sheephead and reds and one of the best battles I've had. It was way too much fun. I can't download the pic until I get back to Atlanta this weekend.

Well, I don't think a first trip can go much better. Congrats man. Are you on the Pro-line owners forum?

You have to login in to see any pictures. Seabob is an engineer with them, and I believe an admin. is a company exec. My screen name is the same on there.

Another good day with25" and 26" reds first thing and a few more sheepheads later on. Just finished up feasting on the fish with some cheesegrits and jalapeno slaw over at the inlaws. I'm gonna dread going back to Georgia this weekend. This is home for us, we just had to move to the ATL to make a living.
