Default Shallow Water Reds, Trout, and Deer

My friend Mike(Palered) and I went out in his 16ft xpress jon boat for some skinny water reds and trout in East Choctaw Bay on Friday. We started off by the river mouths on the east end not resulting intoo much, just one small rat red and a decent trout. We fished for about 45 minutes and were over it, so back on the trailer and to the west we went. We went to an area that's always done real well for me in the summer but has never been tried in the winter. We get there, low tide, mullet schools everywhere and a nice stock of reds and trout, all in 2 ft- of water. We managed 6 reds and 12+- trout in a couple of hours, all fish caught on Capt Mikes Gold Spoons and Weedless Zoom Super Flukes w/ Carolina Lunker Sauce. All fish released. Here's some pics. We also got ambushed by a swimming deer.

Nice report and awesome pics. Seeing that Deer took me back to when I was a Teenager fishing with my cousin over in the mouth of Dog river in Mobile and having deer swim by the boat. Not familiar with Choctahatchee Bay and would Like to fish there some time , where is a boat launch on the west end as I would be coming from gulfbreeze, I have a 13 year old son who is out of school this week and I would like to get him out to try his new rod he got for Christmas. Thanks from fishindad1 and fishinkid2
