Default Shallow water Redfish Bite

I'm embarrased to say the bite has been tough for me since Friday, while the wind was factor over the weekend, today was beautiful. Neap tide and Full Moon aside, I fully expected a big day today...it was flat, lots of mullet and bait around; and saw quite a few short reds.

Cap'n Jimmy (a good friend)and Istarted out today looking at this....hit several usually veryproductive spots, 1 short red in the boat and 1 more to the boat, that was it!

Did manage a nice redFriday for John Rivers!

AndI managed a legal flounder, he made fora nice lunch yesterday at work!

Maybe I need to check out the sound, maybe BradK will report a good day today??? if the weather's nice, off to P-Cola beach this weekend!

That would be a great way to keep all the boats away BP.

Sorry BP, no good report from me either. I got so aggrevated I ended up at the bridge catching bulls and whites.

On a lighter note, I did get a water temp reading of 70 when launching at shoreline at around 2pm, and never saw a temp below 68 the whole afternoon. I'll probably hit the sound hard Friday morning if the weather holds

Brad, sorry to hear about the Sound,I was hopeful the redshad maybe moved that way! It will probably be another few weeks to a month! I was pretty frustrated myself!!:hotsun

DP, regarding the thong...... I used to wear one when I fished the Tiger Point area, but all the old ladies started hanging out on the docks waitng for me to come by, hoot and hollering, throwing beads and stuff, etc. :letsparty

While it was fun,I had to quit, becauseit wasruining my redfishing!
