Gulp!

Crabs or shirmp. Light line, slow approach, slow retrieve. If you're seeing them tail, they should be eating.

Are you using live bait? If not, try that.

I'm excited to hear that you saw some tailing fish, I went out today; but the water was still pretty muddy, andthe low tide was not a real low tide! Water temp was impressive at 65+d!

Wind wasa factor, and while it called for clear skys and sunshine, we hit a little drizzle of rain??

We found a few reds but they were hard to come bye, Post & picsto come later.

good Luck!

You should have all the advise you need to hook up next time. And just to make sure, check your nerves. Make sure you don't get too excited. Also I hope they are red's, rays can also tail with their wings and look like a red in shallows. Good Luck!

I just returned from Cape Coral, Ft Meyers area. Red fish and Snook territory. Seems to be that the 2-3inch pinfish were working great under a popping cork on grass flats and around the Mangrove trees. Not sure if it would work also around here, but hey why not try.Main thing, we would be too close and they would get spooked.

Anyway just a thought for you to try. Good luck.
