Default Santa Rosa Sound/Portofino report

Took the boat out today at about 2:30pm, let out at shoreline, headed to santa rosa sound to catch mullet, reds, and specks. West wind ruined it, 20-30mph. So went across the bay to portofino, mullet EVERYWHERE, they wouldnt come near the boat. When we were about to motor up, 1st cast with a gold spoon, BAM redfish, lost at the boat. Went back towards shoreline, threw the gold spoon again, BAM ladyfish, threw on a grass bed and snatched a pinfish to put on my live bait rig, We motored up and went near bob sikes, Millions of mullet, just stayed over the rocks, Last cast with my spoon, BAM 19inch Speck. So that was it for the day, no pics, dad left the camera at home!

Sounds like you made the best of a bad day. I hope it's better this weekend.
