the cabo is heavier. so, if yoiu plan on long days wading, you might want a lighter set up. both are good reels. i am personally a fan of the shimano sahara for price vs value.

I've had the 4000 Stradic fifor a while now andnever leave the house without it. Caught huge bull reds, hundreds of bonita, and even a few amberjack with it. A+ for me.

Look into the Quantum Catalyst...cheaper and lighter than the Cabo....it's an awesome reel!

ShimanoStradics are nice reels, but the Quantums are much better....

I also agree with the other post.. the Shimano Sahara is a great reel for the price.....

All I have are cabos (ive got the 20,30,50,80). They will outlast the shimano's anyday. I've never understood why shimano has a spinning reel for every 10-20 bucks like...symetre, sedona, spirex, sahara. I sold a new sustainFEand gota cabo 20 and wouldn't go back for anything. Also the cabos are super easy to maintain/fix similar to penn Z's and ol'SS reels. Now shimanos high-end rods and conventional reels are great. Just keep in mind that the stradics and sustains are built and rated for freshwater. Cabos are heavy because once you buy one you won't need to replace it. Boca's and inshore catalyst are nice as well.
