Default Redfish to the Limit Part II

Took my wife and youngest son out today back to the same spotthat me and my oldest son went to yesterday. The wind was rough, but we managed to catch our limit and then some that was safely released of course.

We were fishing inMobile Bay again and was using live shrimp. When the shrimp were gone, I hooked up an 1/8 oz. Krocodile Spoonand soon landed another nice red which we had to release. My son hooked up a 1/4 oz. Spoon and as soon as it hit the water, it was on and the reel was screaming.

My wife caught the biggest red of the day at 23" and at that same time, my son caught a 22", they were fighting them side by side.

Wecaught all these on an incoming tide and was only out a couple of hours. Another awesome day in paradise.

Yeah!!! :hoppingmad :hungry

That is one fishy looking area behind your boy in the first pic. If the reds are around like that I bet you could forego buying the live shrimp and just work on them with spoons. Just curious what depth is the water you are fishing?

One to two feet of water! I would give topwaters a shot. Just get some small ones that the reds can eat and you will have a ball.

Hey Lucky,

I know you might not want to give up your hole, but I could sure use some advice. had my three boys out saturday in Mobile bay fishing the reefs (fish river, zundels and middle bay lighthouse)and almost got skunked 1 small red and a croaker. Looks like you were up in Bon Secour River? I just want to put the kids on some fish.
