Capt. John Rivers (5/11/2009)Jeff, good report... sounds like you had a great day. I was out, too. Slick calm till around 9:30am...Wasn't it niceto get out and do some fishing without the wind blowing!

My tally for the day was 18 specks, (with 5 keeper Specks), 3 Reds, (two keepers; one under slot).

I had two guys from West Virginia who were a lot of fun, and knew how to fish. My job today was easy, and I could use a couple more trips like that.

Tight Lines,

Capt. John

John,

I grew uplearning to fish the Potomac in Western Maryland! The border between Maryland and W. Virginia is the Potomac, and it was loaded with Small Mouth Bass, those guys know how to fish!

Bay Pirate shares some of the best posts with us! Thanks. Now you talk about an avid fisherman! Skunked for days and hours(e.g. throwing a topwater for an hour straight with no hits), he persists and finally hits gold! Patience is an understatement! I think I had more fun reading his post and seeing his pictures that I would have been if I had been there after several days of the "stink".

Again, you must be the king of dedicated fishermen.
