Default Prefishing ECRC

Went out today in the afternoon to see if we could sight fish for some reds. Fishedaround some docks in the Niceville area. The water was stained but it wasn't too bad as long as we were looking in less than a couple feet. Saw four and caught one on a 3" gulp shrimp. They are not near as thick as they were last year at this time.

we'll see...I'm just pumped that we actually saw some fish. It's been so dead around here I'm ready for Spring fishing to get back to normal.

Nice catch! I caught a fat speck today in Rocky, and I think the spanish are in the too. They would not eat for me. I saw a red in Sara Ann Bayou, but by hte time I rigged up no hits. Levanworth and I hit the beach last week caught 8 pomps, man those are good tasting fish. Good luck.

He showed me the pics of all the pomps...looked like a pretty fun day of fishing. Went out today for the ECRCtournament and could't find any as big as we caught the other day...still a fun day of fishing though. The club is reallystarting to take off. Chris keeps inviting me out with yall to go catch some pomps, can't wait to get out there as soon as everything slows down in a few days.

There are quite a few docks in Rocky that hold some nice reds. Caught some good keepers and a few over 30" last year around may/june...try docks that have a nice long sand flat that drop off to about 6-8 ft right at the end of the dock. g/l.
