Trolled left and right to buoy #1 nothing...try to look for the mass on the way back.....couldn't even find it....what happened to the bouy? ..did it move that far east or what....we looked around found some bottom structure, fish finder was full of fish here and there , they just woulnd't bite. Trolled back in..caught one descent spanish on a strecher..that was it. even headed to the 3MB...fish everywhere but nothing no bites. When we were ready to call it a day...saw TARPON rolling right infront of us....man what a rush...they came up like 6 times....we tried everything you can think of....nothing!!!!another hr passed by...nothing... these neap tide, 4 tide deal, sucks big time....learning learning...I bet those tarpon will be there tonight though... same spot....someone will get lucky. Last week the buoy had moved because of the last stormto the west about 100 yards. Don't know if it has been replaced by now or not. Not much of the wreck is above the water level at high tide so be careful you will hit the turret with lower unit or hull.:banghead

Thanks Sealark....yes that's what I thought the buoy moved way out. Dangerous area indeed. People watch out , hopefully it will be marked so people can see it specially the newbies like me venturing out in the gulf with small boats on a nice day.

I was out there yesterday and the Bouy looks like it was blown in North of the wreck. Looked to be quite a bit of a distance. 300yrds maybe. Kind of like the distance it was before the storm just South, but now it is to the North. Yes be careful, I got my trolling motor hung on it trying to be curious while fishing around it.

Yea, If you don't want to burn the gas to the pass...Try the PensacolaPort, just don't get close to the Palafox Pier...there could be LED flying...or FOUL Comments...The KINGS are starting to fire UP for the fall run...GOOD LUCK...and Great Post!!!!
