Default Nice speck and red

Went fishing today in pensacola bay at one of myhoneyholes that I have not tried yet this summer. Fished for about 2hrs with artificial lures and caught a couple of fish. I wound up catching my first redfish on a topwater plug(shedog). It was an awesome site to see the red blow up the plug. He missed the lure twice before inhaling it on the third try. The redfish was 24in. and wieghed 4lbs on the boga. I then switched over to the berkley gulp (nuclear chicken) with 1/4 ounce jig headand caught a 21in. speck that wieghed 3 1/2 pounds. After the trout I headed in for some good eating.

Nice catch! And that is a fatty speck. Topwater action is the best. Nuclear chicken jerkshad has been like cocaine for specks down here in Corpus Christi lately.

Yeah, the nuclear chicken is amazing. I also use the nuclear chicken jerkshad, but this time I used the nuclear chicken shrimp.

That speck is thick, all the way, not just in the belly. Nice job!
