Default Navarre Specks

I went this afternoon with my buddy Nick and we fished about 2 hours before the sun went down. Wading the sound on Navare Beach just west of the houses. Nick caught one speck 17" on a DOA 1/4oz shrimp. (I can't remember the name, but it's a new color - red on top, gold on bottom). I kept throwing my DOA CAL jerkbait (rootbeer with chartruese tail) on a 1/4oz head. Finally as we started to make our way back in, I hooked what felt like a decent fish. I thought it was a red the way the fish threw its head around and thrashed the top of the water. Then I got it a little closer and caught a glimpse of a very good trout. Played her for a little while more then landed a fatty at 23" I'll try to get some pictures later.

Nice speck! rootbeer with a chartruse tail is one of my go to colors, especially now with the stained water. Can't wait to see a picture.

Yeah, Brandon. I'll always fish. I live in Texas now so it's been a little different. But, I'm in town for the week visiting my parents and decided to try it yesterday. Worked out pretty well. Good to hear from you, hope everything's going well!

Man, I would absolutely love to, but I've gotta get back to Corpus. We're leaving Sunday morning/midday. So, unless it's this afternoon or tomorrow I really can't do it. Next time we're going to be in town, I'll try to let you know ahead of time and we'll hasve to fish! I've seen you guys doing well on the brown fish. Hopefully I'll have a shot at one before I go too.

Here's a couple of pictures. In my opinion, the pictures don't really do the fish justice, but they never do! I always think more highly of my fish than they probably are! Go fishing, use DOA
