Default Navarre Report 5/5

Quick report. Headed out about 6am. Hit the sound in Navarre. Loaded up on bull minnows in about 15 minutes with a trap I designed. Thats a whole other topic.

Hit the channels and got 2 nice flounder. Had 1 hit that bent the rod completely. Wouldnt stop, whatever it was. My guess was a shark of a massive red. No specks or reds but I was targeting flounder on a hook.

Weather was great and the boat ran perfectly. Couldnt ask for a better trip

Sorry, added an "s" to it. I was just drifing in the channel. Tide was outgoing and the bite was on for about 2 hours then it slowed after the brief rain. The flounders were on minnows only. I used silversides, finger mullet, pinfishand Gulps but no takers on that menu.

The trap... It's a prototype right now but I dont think I need to make any more changes to it (finally). I've spent alot of time testing different baits for the trap and that was half the battle. I tell my wifeim conducting science experiments. She pretends to be interested but I know she thinks I've lost my mind....lol

Not sure about "Best" yet as I havemany other items to try.

So far, crab meat has done well. From what I observed, it worked better when it was crushed.

I'll post more when I'm done buiding the better mouse trap. Like butterfly jigs, its a combination of a system that will catch them up.
