Default Mulat Bayou

Took my son out this morning - launched around 7:30, not too early. We fished around the train trussell - not the channel, but various places nearby. He loves catching anything, so the unlimited amount of grunts & croakers had him happy. Then as it warmed a little, we started catching rat reds consistantly. He even caught the same redfish back to back - I compared pics and verified that is wasthe same fish. We never saw a slot red, but did take home some Black Drum. He counted 26 fish in the boat & had a blast.

...had a little visit by FWC

Looks like the kid had fun. Also, it looks like the same FWC officer that stopped me and the kids a couple months ago in the same area(we were near the train trussel also).

Thanks everyone. We're going to head out here again this weekend.

Does anyone have any concerns about eating the fish caught in this area? I know the paper had alot of write-ups a while back on the water quality and such.

I'll post again with the weekend results.
