Default Grouper on Stretch in Bay

A buddy and I took off this morning in some real choppy bay water. Went to 3-mile bridge to start. Saw a lot of sheeps head but couldnt get a single one to bite.Storm came through so we took shelter under the bridge. Once that passed, the bay calmed down and we headed out to the pass to do some trolling. I've heard of people catching some grouper and snapper trolling some stretch 25 lures but I've never caught anything until today. Ran over a little bump and marked two fish, I said one of those is going to come and bite. As soon as we looked back, pole bent over and reel went to singing. Grabbed it real quick and brought in this nice 28 inch grouper. Threw it back to catch another day when we can keep it.

Nice!

It's a damn shame you couldn't keep it. I would have been hard pressed to not turn it into a couple of grouper sandwiches.
