Default First flounder

Took my sister from England out. She got her first flounder. Was nice to see her excited about catching fish.
I fished a falling tide on the edge of the grass flats. Bull minnows, pinfish and small mullet were the baits of choice.
We also caught a few redfish and trout. They were a little small so we released them unharmed.

Awesome! I hope she got to eat one of those flounder, she'll be even more excited about her next trip.

Thanks, I'm staying well fed. It's flounder with a mild curry rub done under the broiler for dinner tonight.

Nice catch! I went to Pensacola yesterday for flounder and caught one dink... I had hopes of putting a few flounder on ice to chill while I gathered a few crabs to stuff them with but alas, it's Captain D's tonight...

One thing I have noticed targeting flatties for the last couple months, they seem to prefer the same locations. Once you start finding areas they populate, there is an ample supply from week to week.
Explore the bay, you will connect sooner or later. Don't get discouraged, they are out there.
