Default Fat Sheepshead Limit, Panama City Pass.

Mike and I left the dock at 0600 and had our limit of great size sheepies by 0830. The wind was howling and made holding position with the E anchor a bitch. The only option I had because of the direction it was blowing was to use a grapnel anchor.
Once the anchor was set the fight was on. We had non-stop action until the box was full. Fiddlers were the bait of choice. All the crabs were caught a few days prior.
on the way back in we stopped by shell island to reload the bait bucket. We were able to catch a couple hundred crabs for tomorrow.
As a side note, when we were done catching bait we went to check out some nearby tide pools. One of them was teaming with squid that had obviously been trapped there overnight. I grabbed a bucked and a net and had fun chasing them around the shallows for a while.

Sounds like it is time to get out there. I was thinking yesterday about how nasty it would be in the pass with that wind blowing like it was.

It was crappy in the center of the pass but the jetties were ok. It was cold all morning.
