Default Escambia and Blackwater

Sorry there are no pictures for these reports, but carrying a camera while wade fishing in the rain isn't very appealing to me.

Went out tuesday after noon (10/7/2008) and decided to fish a spot we wade. Bite was very slow but we caught one 36" redfish and one 19 1/2" flounder. Both fish were caught on Berkley Gulp! on a 1/4 oz. jig head. Just a slow bump and bam, there they were.

On Wednesday morning we went out to a couple spots in Blackwater Bay and caught 6 reds...one 21", one 19", and the rest were rats. We also caught 10-12 trout. Most of them were small but we managed to catch two that were both 17"-18". These fish were caught on Texas Tackle Factory Trout Killer II and Berkley Gulp! stuck on a 1/4 oz. jig head. Wind was blowing hard out of the SE and the water was extremely high.

Overall a couple of good trips but not seeing good numbers of fish just yet. But im expecting that to change within the next couple of weeks.

Those TTF plastics are pretty good. Really durable material.

Great report to. Sounds like it's time for me to start wading up there myself!!!!
