Default Early Morning Saturday and in the bay

Well we started out the day early at 5:30am, First time taking the boat out so I had to wake up early to make sure I didn't forget anything, and to insure I had all my ducks in a row. We put in and headed across to a spot to look for bait fish.. There was none :banghead... Soooo we anchored just off the edge of a grass bed in about 9feet of water and used cut gulps on sabiki's to catch pinfish with.. hah! :moon So with 20+ baits in the boat we headed to a little inshore wreck in about 30 feet of water..

It was very chopy early morning, so it felt like offshore fishing, Needless to say I droped over a live penfish and no sooner Had i stuck it in the rod holder to bait another line, SMACK my pole bent over.. It was a little grouper.. so 20 seconds of fishing, first fish in the boat.. The day continues like this, with the wind settling down abit as the day went on.. In total 9 grouper all ranging from 15-19 inches :moon and 2 Red Snapper that went 15 and 17inches.

The highlight of the trip was when I looked over and asked my buddy...

(me) Do you have all your drag's lose enough?

(him) Ya man Im all set.

(me) hey dude you have a bite get the pole quick!

(him) SH**t

(pole) Doubles over~~~~ SNAP CRACKLE POP! SNAP!

(me)I thought you said you set your drag??

(him) :reallycrying:reallycrying:reallycrying:reallycryi ng

SORRY NO PICS
