The bite has beentough and with a friend in for his annual redfish hunt, we did not participate in the any of the 3 tournaments.

Friday, managed to find a pair with the largest at 24.5 - 4.5lbs.

Sat was bust by the time we went out, after noontime. Ran down the sound but it was boat after boat stacked up.

Went out Sunday and worked extremely hard for 3 reds, my friend stayed at the condo because he was feeling under the weather so to speak; not sure if it was the margaritas, vodka tonics, beer, wine, or the rum and cokes that did him him in!:letsdrink

Anyway later

got a stud at just over 28" weighing about 8bs, great fight on lite tackle, then a pair of slots 19.5 and 21.5.

All fish caught on something different, top water, hard baits, live bait, jighead with gulp jerkbaits???

Hope everyone had fun weekend.

Bay pirate, Son And I went outfriday and caught a junior red. That's all. we fished hard/ had lots of bait ....all kinds u name it. Little red was caught on 3 inch mullet...we tried several spots...zero!!. The full moon or something. I'm thinking fish are feeding at night till next week.Good job on your catch. Thats exactly what we were looking for. :clap

Nice fish man, all I have found is the little guys the past couple of trips. we caught about 10 all total in the last 2 times out. We were fishing Bayou Texar, lighted docks, and using live shrimp. The bigest was around 18 inches, the smallest and the majority around 15 inches. Still alot of fun on light weight tackle. I think the idea of them feeding at night may be dead on.
