Default bay report

dave and i decided to try our luck today with the sheepshead. very slow morning. the tide was ripping around the jetties. we took two waves over the bow and decided to move to a different spot. got one fish on that spotwith live shrimp.

next spot we fish the same way live shrimp. once again we had to work for our bites. we got a couple of bites with only one fish to show for it. time to move. here is the fish.

we moved one more time and the bite was getting better but far from on fire. we set anchor and first cast im on. feels like a solid fish. im thinking drum. i get him to the boat and i couldnt be more happy. until i put him on the scale. it just goes that way some times. here is the pic just over 27 3/4.

not to many pics of david :banghead oh wait heres one.

back at the house by 12:00. we made the best of the day. better luck next time dave. lets do it again soon.

not to bad. we took a good one over the bow and i got soaked pretty early on. one sock 25% soakage and the other 100% soaking wet. if it were really cold i would of been in trouble. other than the wind it was a beautiful day. gene or tim you are more than welcome to go with me fishing the bay. would love to have ya. even if its only to catch bait. for a offshore trip!

aren't those black drum in the 2nd and 4th pics??? just looking at the

way the top fin dips down and the similarity with the redfish in the

3rd pic. i know i've probably caught lots of em and just seen the strips

and threw em in the box thinking they were sheepshead. great job guys

and thanks for the report. i'm off next week and will definitely be goin

tuesday or wednesday. maybe the temp will be a bit warmer for me..

seeing those pics definitely get's me pumped for the sheepie run...Jeff

Yeah, second and fourth pics are Black Drum. Look for teeth...even the smallest sheepshead has a set of chompers.
