Default Avalon Beach Area

Me and a Buddy are headed out tomorrow morning to throw plugs and eventually settle down in the after noon with some grub fishing and then live bait on the bottom. Anybody got a report on what their biting (if anything) and area of Avalon beach is doing the best?

Sorry, you didn't get much help here. That area is tough right now due to water quality and the amount of fresh water coming down from the river. Therefore, there aren't many positive reports and haven't been since about the end of FEB!

Fishing will better down in the sound or closer to the pass, good luck!

We went out last saturday from glover and did pretty well. your best bet is to check the tides and hope for an incoming tide and top water in the mornings. Once the top water bite slows switch to jigs in the New Penny color. We caught 9 trout and a few reds 1 in the slot size. We fished from garson point to the camp grounds and then the train trussel and ended the day at judges bayou. Good luck this weekend.
