Default Almost Bad day, got much better!

Seems like yesterdays theme is Bad News, and it was almost mine as well (not as bad as some).

Having worked 6 days a week since late January (the new Coffee Shop), I was very-much looking forward to taking my son fishing Saturday. We prepped the boat Friday evening and set out early saturday morning. Upon launch, the battery went from good to bad. I had tested it earlier, but she was not going to start. I figured we'd just use the trolling motor and stay in calm water near the launch - but about 50 feet away, it shorted out. We had to paddle back. As I was preparing to pull the boat out, I thought - "This little motor has a pull cord that I've never used, better try that". 20 pulls and we were off! and the very sad look on my son's face dissapeared.

Within 30 minutes, we caught a 26" Redfish

My son caught lots of Croakers

One that really fought hard.

and ended with a nice 20" Red.

It was a great day on the water, and OFF WORK!

that really sucks about all the problems you had but you turned it around and made the best of it. Nice red also.
