Default 8-5 spanish and reds

got a wild hair about 9am to get out of the house. called day break and had the boat set in and off i went. only took trolling lures and poles, stretches and spoons. headed towards the ol grouper holes and as soon as i got near the base you could smell the menhaden. there were more birds and fish then i have seen in the bay in along time. so i set up a 3 pole spread, green stretch, drone spoon and a fair waters spoon and feather combo. i caught so many spanish i lost count they were hitting everything. then i headed towards the deeper ramps and then it was bull reds. awesome day and there is bait everywhere. tried to take some pics but i am challenged when it comes to fishing and taking pictures by myself. if you want to have some fun go chasing the birds. i only wish i had a light tackle pole with me. loving it here in paradise, till next trip.

Right about the birds. Sounds like a fun trip. I'm always giving up when it gets to be late morning or almost lunchtime. We used to just keep making passes through them in Pensacola Bay. We'd see'em from a distance just dive bombing and the more we looked, it was them hitting the bait schools. Everytime we'd turn around to go make another pass, it would turn into work almost. Lots of fun ! Congrats!
