Default 6-2 Report,

Frustrated at Saturday and Sunday's production,I decided to return to my condo @Little Sabine and go hunt some reds on the tide transition!

I hit the Bob Sykes bridge/Channelat full steam about 6:05am, 51mph...1st stop feels fishy, bait everywhere, mullet everywhere, guess who wasn't there...No reds, a few specs!

I head to spot #2, again, looks fishy, pick up a few specs, a damn catfish, but no Reds! I can feel the reds,I know they're there, but can't get a bite!

I head to some nearby flats, pick up abunch Specs on 3" gulp shrimp...NOTE: Hotspots B&Thas a BONUS PACK of 3" Gulp Shrimp, you get 3 extra gulps, don't miss the deal!

The tide turns, the water goes slack and the fish are easier to spot!, everytime theymove their tail, u can see'em!

Off goes an upper slot red in less than 2ft of water.....I pitch a Gulp Shrimp 3ft in front of his nose, he says screw u and moves on...Damn!

I see asmall school of maybe 6 lower slot reds right on the shoreline, I pitch in front of them...screw u they keep on going!
Double damn!

Iwork the shoreline, see several more, catch a few morespecsbut no Reds!

I jig up a PinFish...hmmmm, I put him under a Cajun Thunder and throw him out behind the boat....whooooa 3.5lb spec...and the pinfish lives..... but Spec wasn't going to make , so he's my 1 or 2for the year!

I put the 1/2 alive pinfish out under the Cajun Thunder and whoops again, now a nice 5lb Red......

ThenI find a few moreand catchthis mean lookingSOB, on a Gulp Shrimp!

Trust me it wasn't easy, i worked hard for these fish today.....

3 reds
a bunch of specs,I don't know for sure, maybe 18-20
and 1 - 14"flounder

Makes a lazy man's slam to me!

Your second pict of the speck gave your secret spot away...a couple weeks agome and the wifewearing blue shirts made a close drift next to you during the Inshore Slam weekend. I yelled at you and asked if you had caught any REDS...you said no and wasn't fishing the tournament. I can't believe your boat runs so shallow it looked like you were drifting in six inches of water...Not bad for a 20+ boat!!!!!!!!!looks like everything worked in your favor. We fished offshore Fridayin a inshore boat 155 "not very big"and ended up bringing a small king home. Oh well NICE catch MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!
