Default 3mb Thursday and Friday night- Looks like the red run might be over for the season

Thursday wasreally rough and Friday was picture perfect. Both ended up with the same results- buckets of trout- severl nice size and no reds. Fished from the area where the pier is being built all the way to the big hump and back. Tried live white trout dropped down and standard jigheads and DOA shrimp. No reds- not even a sighting of slots under the lights. Maybe next time or maybe it is time to change over to sheepshead fishing!

I haven't been out there at night in a while and 2 times in the last 3 weeks during the day. Not 1 red caught either of the times. As long as the trout are still think then you would think the reds would stick around as well. Might go out for some night fishing this weekend if the weather proves to be decent.

We caught two at 29 inches last night. They are still there, just not in the numbers they were. Try changing up your bait. Oh and remember to match the hatch (plenty of menhaden in the bay right now, we had 5 schools of them swim by the boat).

They have been out there both day and night.......you'll see them popping the surface during the day and flashing at night. We caught our fish at night.

Thanks for info. I am going to try some chum and cast net then. Natural forage, you can't beat it.
