Default 3 Mile

Last minute trip planned Sunday night then loaded up and met a buddy of mine Grady at Archie Glover ramp at 5. We planned on a little fishing and more trying to toss the net... When we got to the ramp the wind was cranking so until it calmed down there wasn't going to be much netting so we headed to Garcon....NOTHING there, not even a croak:doh so we headed to 3 Mile....After the rough ride we finally anchored down:clap We caught several fish...Black snap, red snap(?), grouper, red, white trout, croakers....I had several good bites but lost em':banghead Only fish we kept were 3 big whites....and yes I threw back the red!!!:letsdrink

This pelican was funny as heck...he liked the small croakers though:shedevil

We have no clue on this grouper...white spots were confusing??? Anyone have an idea???

24.5 incher...purty un that lives another day:clap

One of the whites I kept......(Kept a white, threw back a red...who'd a thunk it???

After sitting there a while I noticed we had more water in the back of the boat in the bilge:banghead I started going over everything in my head and I knew I put the plug in, then I checked my bilge and livewell pump and had no clue:doh Then I started thinking.....I think I have 2 plugs and it was dark when I put the 1 in so off to the trussel we went and sure enough....I forgot the other plug:doh:doh:doh Another dumb mistake but I ADMIT IT!!!!!!!!:letsdrink So we headed to the still water behind the trussel where we caught a red and speck...Both SMALL but fun never-the-less!!!

This was my 1st red on artificial bait!!! Always caught them on live/cut bait...but caught him on a saltwater chatter bait.:letsdrink

We headed back out to 3 Mile and it calmed down a bit and when we were pulling anchor (didn't loose 1 this time:letsdrink) a big Bayliner flagged me down...dead in the water and asked fer a tow back to the trussel...So I hooked em up and drug em back....when they asked how much...I just told them to do the same fer someone else...Funny thing was, they had a TOW US flag on their boat:doh:letsdrink:letsdrink:letsdrink

All in all it was a good day and you can't catch crap sitting in the house!:letsdrink:letsdrink:letsdrink

CAUGHT YESTERDAY----LUNCH TODAY!!!:letsdrink:hungry:letsdrink

Thanks for the report and good job on the boater assist. Your snapper appears to be a lane snapper which has a minimum length requirement of 8" with no bag limit.
