Thank you all so very much. I'm glad you enjoyed the "story!" Like many of you, since joining the PFF, I've always loved the stories behind the fishing. Pictures are always great but I like hearing the details!

I shouldn't have said SOSOSO good. I should have said WONDERFULLY Delicious or something like that! The caps and multiplied words are something I've gotten in a bad habit of writing emails and such adding STRENGTH to a statement....sorry about that!!!!! lol.

Hubby filleted the fish with an electric knife and I brought it in, cleaned it and cut it in large chunks and iced it in a bowl until dinnertime. I layed it out in one layer in a baking dish lined with heavy foil which I had dabbed a little real butter. Then, I sprinkled it lightly with salt, garlic salt/parsley and the juice of 1/2 lemon. I, generiously, covered the fish with some more real butter and put it beneath the broiler. I know that skinned Redfish dries out very quickly so I kept a very close eye on it. When everything looked opaque and the butter was starting to turn a little golden, I turned over the thickest pieces, returned it to the broiler and waited for those to finish. We had baked potatoes and garlic bread on the side. The fish was flaky and juicy with just a slight hint of garlic and lemon....nothing overpowering! It was great.

Once again, ty to all....LWW

BTW: pic's posted...ty for the help.

WOW...great post. Ain't nuthin better than a fishin' report where you feel as if you are there with the person as you read. Definitly a fish to be proud of whether it is a first or a 100th for your boat. It being the first does give you a good feeling tho....hopefully a sign of karma and of the good things that will happen aboard your boat in the future. :bowdown

congrats again and lookin forward to more pics in the futureclap

Ya'll can't know how wonderful you've made me feel with your replies! As I said earlier, pics say a lot but telling the actual stories behind the catch is the key to wonderful "FISH" stories! We're very blessed that we were able to get our retirement/dream boat 10 years early but we're MOST grateful to live in a wonderful place like P'cola and know.......well, KINDA know.......so many great people!

MK....I remember you well and wonder how its been32 years since we graduated EHS~!!!! I was away a long time with hubby in the USArmy but he got caught in the drawdown after Desert Storm and we came home and he got in the Alabama National Guard. He's in his 28th year, up for E-8, and we have 8 more years til we can tell the wholeeeeeeeeeeeee world to KOA!!!! You've done wonderfully and I LOVE YOUR HOUSE!!! I know right where it is, too.ULTRALITE......great to hear from you!!!

Nightwolf is parked until the beginning of OCT since hubby's heading to ANOC Friday morning but we've got a WHOLE lot of fishing left to do before the year's end and I'll be right here on the forum waiting for each and every report that comes end!!!

Many sweet wishes to ALL of you .............

LWW
