hit my favorite sand flats today around 1700. right after that squall blew over. i took 3 bags af 3" gulp shrimp in molting, new penny, and nuclear chicken and staright up slayed some spot tailed flats donkeys. hell of a night!!!! just got home a little bit ago with some flounder for the skillet. all of the redsi caught were between 23 and 29 inches. i used every single gulp tail i brought and only got broken off once. redfish point sure lives up to it's name!!!!! it's good to know that storm did us some good. tight lines and i'll see ya out there.

i hit that area quite often without any dissappointment. i started out right about 6 pm with the usual skitterwalk and hit 2 nice reds. once my buddy hit a smaller schoolie on the gulps i switched over to a nuclear chicken and hit a cupple more. the kicker was when i turned to the 4" new penny, the bigger boys started goin' crazy. don't know 'boout yall, but i fish a penn 440 on a 6'6" medium star rod. 10 lb ande backcountry and you're in business. i was sad when i went back today and only got 2. then i started going west toward perdido and drifted some flats in a good 3 to 6 ft over some patchy sand holes and completely f'd 'em up again. yall need to get out there. i'm mostly catch and release lately since the fishin's been so damn good. but that stuff is about to stop cos that son of a buscuit eater is damn good eatin'. good luck and tight lines. see ya out there!
