Fished out of Joe's Bayou yesterday with Dawna and Tony. Didn't hit the water till around 11:30. We managed to land 5 reds all lower slot fish. The largest one weighing around 3.5lbs. We also caught6 trout and 5 flounder. All the flounder were below the legal limit but still a lot of fun to catch. All redish were sightfished as well as most of the trout.

The trout were in small tight school at the ends of docks and piers. It was a really fun day with some great catches. Dawna stayed true to her new favorite lure the spoon and sight fished the first red of the day!! I have only a couple of pics from the day. i will try and add them to the post later.

All in total I think wespotted around 20-25 reds. Most were just cruising with no interest in us or our lures.

GO NINERS!!!!

We'vecaught trout, reds, blues,& flounder in there, from shore and docks. It's like a well-preserved secret or something, I'm amazed more people don't fish it.. I guess I should insert foot in mouth now..! =P I know you asked Tex,sorry for my butt-in. =D

Thanks for the heads up. Every time I motor out of there I feel like I'm leaving fish. Next time maybe I'll just drop the trolling motor and spend some time in there.
